You can hire Nexus Art Cafe to host a book launch, gig, film screening, workshop, performance, live debate or for anything else you can think of!
Nexus Art Cafe is situated in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter making it a great accessible option for a huge range of events. We have a wonderful unique space, and love to support emerging artists, groups and creative projects.
We are available to hire from 7-11pm most evenings and our hire fee is a very reasonable £30 per hour. This includes a member of staff to serve hot drinks & cake, as well as access to our sound system, live audio equipment, lighting system and Projector!
We are now also available in the mornings! Monday-Friday 8-10am and Sundays 9-11am.
The space has a standing capacity of 150 people with seating for 75. We are not a professional music, theatre or conference venue with in house engineers, but we have recently spent time to begin renovating our space & upgrading our equipment so that we can offer an even more intimate & dynamic space for your event. We have a basic PA System, microphones and a desk with multi-track recording capabilities for capturing live performances and events.
Disabled access is currently available via our main entrance stair lift.

The Nook - a city centre meeting space
The Nook is a small side room off the main cafe space. It is available to hire during cafe opening hours (Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm and Sunday 12-6pm). Our hire fee is £10 per hour or £5 per hour for registered charities. The Nook seats around 15 people comfortably, it has a flatscreen Smart TV and a large table perfect for meetings and workshops.
We also offer discounts on food and drink for Nook users:
Toasted sandwich and a tea or coffee - £5 per person
Tea or coffee and cake - £3 per person
